we received a wonderful letter today.
"Reading your site brought me to tears.....not because of anything that may be affecting your precious little boy......but because of the love you show for him...
Your a wonderful person, and you have touched my heart!!
I am not a religious person, but today I said a prayer for you and your son.....and I light a candle in honour of your journey...
*Thankyou for being in the world*!!
*hugs*
~Gavin."
thank you gavin for writing. i htink i have said this before, ut i really don't do anything that special. this is my son and i love him dearly. while some place deep inside i may wish for him to be "normal", i kow in my heart that if her were he would not be kristav. so i do what any loving mother does: what i must. it doesn't seem special to me. to me it is just living. he's my boy and i could never not do what needs to be done for him. thank you for your kind words, your prayers and your thoughts. i am glad his life could touch someone else's. :)

Today, I took my kids to church, as I do every Sunday. My children enjoy riding in my car, for the simple reason (to borrow my mother's pet phrase) that it has a CD player. The radio is no longer mine when they get in; my hard rock gives way to Backstreet Boys and N'Sync--or, God help me, Radio Disney! Today, though, it was Metallica--the self-titled CD, with 'Enter Sandman' and 'Unforgiven' and such. All five of us started doing some serious headbanging when 'Sad But True' came on! Hey, I may be 44, but I can still rock! Then, Kristav and Kitten started their 'Lion King' concert. That was pretty cool, except Kristav started throwing in Burger King as well. That was okay, since we went to BK for lunch.
