stuff like the following is one reason why i don't think that having federal regulations that determine the minimum states must do for their disabled members is a bad thing:
"Many organizations assisting families in CO are significantly hindered by a law called the Tabor Law. The only way state programs (education, Medicaid, CHIP) can get enough money for their existing needs, is by a referendum or initiative ballot process. CO voters have not shown empathy for the health and education needs of persons with disabilities or special needs. " ---- The Friday Fax.
I cannot imagine what it must be like to live there and be struggling to get necessary care and help for your differently-abled child.

i haven't been too sure if there has been a difference in kristav's behavior from the medication. well, today was one of those crazy days...he was late and got out the door without any. and, of course, the doctor has yet to fax the medication form to the school. so no medication today.
can you say "bouncy bouncy bouncy"?

well, i'm definately not too sure about this medication as of yet. kristav was up til 4 a.m. last night, and he's never gone that late before. he's usually asleep no later than 11 or 11:30, once in a great while he's up past midnight, sometimes as late as 2. but he's never stayed up til 4. i always stay up til he's asleep as a safety precaution. if this is him reacting to the medication it's going to be a couple of long weeks as we try different dosages (each is supposed to go for a week before we change it). i am pretty dang tired...i don't stay up til 4 much anymore either. there does seem to be a very small drop in energy level, but he seems a bit more irritible as well...
day 1 and counting.
