today has been a very bad day, and none of the usual warning signs to prepare us for it. the school called this a.m. kristav was out of control..not willing to listen, tantruming, and generally being very difficult to deal with. turns out the teacher was out today (broken routine). it was so bad that they wanted us to come and get him, however we have no vehicle so they were just going to have to find a way to work with him. then, after 4 hours on the bus in the heat (california summers suck) doing everything i needed to to get our rent paid, i get home and we get another call. they couldn't put him on the bus. he wouldn't sit down and was screaming and fighting and BITING. one of the staff members came and got me and we took kristav home together. no fever, no problems with his ears, nothing that would indicate such an extreme response to a routine change.
when he got home we broke routine again but in a fun way which seemed to help. he went up to get out of his school clothes and came down to find a dinner of bar-b-qued hotdogs and hamburgers waiting. he ate! after dinner, chwis and the girls played with him outside with brand new water guns. he had a blast.
his emotions are so mercurial.
